Most Kindergarten Screenings focus on verifying the achievement of developmental milestones in physical, social, language, personal care / independence, and cognitive skills as a strategy to identify childhood developmental delays or disorders that may require special assistance in school.  They are not, however, extremely reliable testing instruments for a variety of reasons; the most significant being that young children are simply not good test takers!
